A hysterectomy is the surgical elimination of a woman's uterus. It can be performed as either an open (also known as traditional) surgery or as a laparoscopic robotic-assisted da Vinci surgery by one of our doctors. Hysterectomy Treatment Options
A hysterectomy is performed at an accredited medical facility and usually takes about two hours to complete. Our practice offers two types of hysterectomies: laparoscopic and da Vinci hysterectomy.
A laparoscopic hysterectomy is performed using a laparoscope or tube-like device that has a camera attached to the end. Usually, three small incisions are made in the abdomen, which allows for the insertion of the laparoscope to remove the uterus.
In a da Vinci hysterectomy, your doctor will make several small incisions in the abdomen. Using long tools and a camera, your doctor will go through the incisions to start the removal of your uterus. The surgeon will have a magnified view on a monitor to visually assist the robotic hands to help control movements with the tools in the removal of your uterus. Once the uterus is out, your incisions will be closed, and you will be sent to recovery. You may be in the hospital for 1 – 2 days. Compared to a traditional hysterectomy, this method limits the amount of scarring on the skin and may reduce recovery time.

Best doctor I have EVER had!!! I have been w/Dr. Conner for all 3 of my pregnancies and her and her office have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to provide care to me and my babies. I love Dr. Conner’s office and friendly staff and NP and I ALWAYS recommend this office to everyone I know bc they are the best around! Dr. Conner has the best bed side manner. I literally can not say enough great things about Dr. Conner and her office they are awesome!! You will not be disappointed going here. My insurance changed for my 2nd pregnancy and I switched to a different medical group so I could still continue care with Dr. Conner. I will never go elsewhere I’m a Pt for life. I have also recommended my friends here also and have had other friends that have seen Dr. Conner also that recommended me there and we all love her. She is so safe and careful and ensures the best care possible to protect you and your unborn baby. I have also been to the office for regular check ups also outside of pregnancy and again they are so professional and courteous and safe.
I had the best experience with Dr. Conner. I had gestational diabetes and her and Mercedez, her nurse (and really all of her staff) took such good care of me and my son. I had an emergency C-section and dr. Conner made the experience a lot less stressful. She is super knowledgeable and I felt like she genuinely cared for me and my baby. I can’t recommend her enough!
